At Allstar, we are leading from the front in embracing the future of alternative fuels and EVs.

Which is why we are pleased to confirm a new partnership with Gronn Kontakt, an EV charging company owned by Statkraft – Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy.

Bolstering our EV network

The deal means that we have added a further 47 charging sites and 110 charge points to the multi-branded Allstar One Electric network. By extending our network coverage, we are reducing range anxiety for our customers and supporting them by ensuring greater control and visibility for compatible charging points.

2021 – a year of EV acceleration

Recently, the government announced that the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans is to be brought forward to 2030 – 10 years earlier than was originally planned.

Following this, there has been a significant drive from UK businesses to step up their plans for adopting alternative fuels vehicles and EVs into their fleets. In fact, our own research into our customer base reported that 30% of customers already have electric vehicles in place with a further 65% of businesses planning to add EVs into their fleets over the next three years*.

Therefore, we are continuing to add new charging locations to our multi-branded electric charging network at pace. Why? This is to support the renewed drive for businesses to take action, as well as the overall rapid growth of electric mobility within fleets. It also means that we are there to provide solutions following the increase in demand from businesses looking for to ensure they have the most convenient and efficient way to charge their vehicles.

EV solutions for the EV Market

Our rapidly growing EV charging payment solution, the Allstar One Electric card, was launched in answer to direct calls from fleet managers who want to move to a combination of all fuel types on one fuel card. It also compliments the existing ability to pay for hydrogen too.

The EV payment solution combines all the benefits of the Allstar One card, including access to the UK’s largest fuel network, savings across the Discount Diesel network and one HMRC-compliant invoice for all transactions.
